The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources will hold a July 31 hearing on the state of the nation’s transmission grid, as well as the implementation of the 2005 Energy Policy Act transmission provisions, including reliability, siting and infrastructure investment. Though the list is not final, witnesses will likely include representatives from the Department of Energy, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissions. APPA is likely to be invited.
